THE STORY BEHIND PROVERBS PANTRY
For as long as I can remember I have wanted to be like the Proverbs 31 wife, lead by the Lord & richer than rubies. Once I was married I knew I wanted to settle into my role as a wife and homemaker but an “independent” women I found this to be difficult at times as I wanted to feel like I was contributing to the family and I felt bad that my husband was "carrying the load". Through prayer, as well as talking to my husband and mentors I realized just how important my job is as a home keeper and how much I am contributing to my family my following the Lord’s outline for marriage and motherhood. My job is to raise up the next generation in our family and help them be devoted, loving servants of the Lord. Once I dug into Proverbs 31 a little more I realized that a wife's job does not only have to be keeping the home, it can also be entrepreneurship as well. (Proverbs 31:16)
The importance is placing the Lord at the center of it all and honoring Him with both, by aligning my priorities with His. God, Husband, & Children. Proverbs Pantry helps me honor all of them and in that order.
This realization gave me a new perspective, I found that I can use my homemaking skills to serve my family, help out financially while helping others, and first and foremost honor the Lord with it all.
